My husband was admitted in July. We were fortunate to have Kris as our nurse during his entire stay. Kris always treated K (my husband) & all of us with professional respect & dignity. K was receiving active treatment on admission & was a full code. Kris took time to explain everything he did to all of us & took time to meet each of us where we were in understanding what was happening. Kris did this with sensitivity & acceptance. Kris enabled K & all of us family to understand & become comfortable with what was happening. My husband wanted to live to see our 52nd wedding anniversary, which was at the end of the month. Kris accepted his wish & communicated this to all our caregivers. K did live to see our anniversary & was able to say his goodbyes to me & each of his sons. Kris was there to support & comfort all of us in the process. K died the evening of our anniversay in peace & acceptance. As a family, we witnessed professional care in caring for K & each of us. We will be forever grateful that Kris was there to guide us all through that journey.
