She is amazing at presenting course material in a way that promotes learning and keeps the class engaged.
We are thrilled to announce first-year Professor Candice Laboy as a DAISY Nurse Educator Honoree at SUNY Brockport Nursing!
Here are just a FEW of the many things our students had to say!
She is the sweetest person on earth, the best professor and clinical instructor, and a ray of sunshine in the Brockport Nursing Department.
She is an Extraordinary Nurse Educator; she is passionate about her practice and is a master of therapeutic communication. As an instructor, she is amazing at presenting course material in a way that promotes learning and keeps the class engaged. She often includes stories from her life and nursing practice that are relevant to the course material. Like all the nursing faculty here at Brockport, she makes it very clear that she is available to help and support students.
She goes above and beyond to not only educate her students but to make sure they are seen. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have made it through that semester. I am eternally grateful for her and her dedication and support for not just me but the entire 2024 traditional nursing class. Professors like her are the reason we succeed and grow.
