I was not an easy patient when I first arrived. On day 3 or 4 of my stay, I was not feeling good, shortness of breath, chest pain, and could not make myself comfortable. Lindsay LaFerriere came on shift and called the doctor to advocate for me. She knew something was wrong and that I was not having a panic attack. I had a number of issues going on in my lungs. Not only did Lindsay advocate to have a doctor come see me and push for testing, but she could also have saved my life had my symptoms gone ignored. Lindsay sat in my room and talked/listened to me with empathy. This bad situation quickly turned into a great healing stay because she listened and advocated for her patient.
