We had a very difficult case and a young girl coded and succumbed to her illness.

Denise Levy who was the nurse at the time of death showed such compassion for this girl. She had great respect and dignity for the patient, making sure she was clean, hair was styled and made to look absolutely beautiful.

When the husband and grandparents came Denise was so caring and supportive. The husband asked to stay with her and Denise sat with him listening to his story of how he met his wife, the things they had done and the plans they had for the future. I was so proud of how caring of a nurse she was to this young man. She offered suggestions of different support groups that he could reach out to and was such a comfort to him. She was so kind and gentle with him during probably the most difficult day of his life.

The rest of the team on that night including the surgeon all commented on how wonderful, caring and supportive Denise was during this terrible time.
