I returned home from the hospital after suffering a heart attack. The service I received from everyone at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin was commendable. Two days before I went home, while at the hospital my left arm started to hurt me where the IV was in my arm. I told the Nurse about the pain in my arm. She said it would get better. I was discharged and returned home. For the next week I went downhill. I lost all of my energy. I was so weak, I could not do anything, it was a chore to do anything. Low and behold I was visited by the Home Health Nurse. The first time she looked at me from across the room, she said to me "Your arm looks infected, it looks like cellulitis." At this time my arm was so red and swollen, from my elbow to my wrist, my arm was rock hard. Nurse Tanya Immediately called Dr. Patton's office and got me a prescription for the infection. If it wasn't for her, i would probably be dead. I was so sick with the infection, it hampered my recovery. My heart was only operating at 25 percent at the time of release, and I had been coughing up blood for weeks after the operation. Tanya was always there, to make sure the medicine I was taking was doing its job. After this bout, Tanya also helped me recover from pneumonia, after the infection. My heart goes out to Tanya.  She is more than a Nurse, she is now my friend, and it sure is nice being taken care of by a friend. God bless her.
