I am writing to wholeheartedly nominate Aileen Kho, our exceptional charge nurse, for the DAISY Award. Aileen embodies the qualities that make her an outstanding leader and a true asset to our team. Aileen consistently demonstrates selflessness by putting others' needs before her own. When the team seems to struggle, Aileen goes the extra mile by willingly entering patient rooms to scrub in or circulate even after hours, showcasing her unwavering commitment to our team's success. Her empathy is truly remarkable. Aileen takes the time to greet everyone by name, regardless of their role, creating a supportive and inclusive environment. I witnessed her compassionate act of kindness when she personally covered the cost of an older lady's meal in the cafeteria when her EBT card was not accepted. This was surely compassion in action.
