Dr. George-Scharpon was nominated for The DAISY Award for showing her students how to conquer their nursing journey. One of her students reported that she went out of her way to make sure the student knew the skills they needed to master before leaving the hospital. She takes the time to talk with her students and demonstrates how to give empathetic care.
