I nominated Mary Jane Lizer for The DAISY Award for her exceptional care and commitment to VNAHG patients and their families. Mary Jane has been an instrumental member of our intake department. She consistently goes above and beyond to provide compassionate and personalized care to each patient she encounters. I have witnessed her outstanding clinical skills and ability to manage complex patients in Monmouth Medical South. She is a true advocate to all the patients and takes the time to listen and address the concerns of both the patient and the family. She demonstrates kindness, empathy and compassion by creating a calm and supportive environment for the patients being discharged home with hospice or home care. One particular instance that stands out in my mind was when Mary Jane went out of her way to comfort a family during a particularly difficult time. The patient's family was struggling to come to terms with their loved one's condition, and Mary Jane went above and beyond to provide them with emotional support and guidance. Her kindness and compassion made a significant impact on the family and helped them to cope during a challenging time to take their loved one home with VNA Hospice. Mary Jane is always receiving praises from the staff at Monmouth South on how she cares about each and every patient that is referred to VNAHG.
