Her passion for nursing is evident, and her commitment to excellence is commendable.
The nursing supervisors would like to nominate her in acknowledgment of her outstanding qualities, contributions, and kind and caring inner self. She has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership as a STAT RN at UCLA Santa Monica. Her dedication to UCLA has significantly impacted our organization and set a benchmark for excellence.
One of the most admirable aspects of her work is her compassion to help her teammates out in the organization. You will not see her ever sitting when she comes on her shift. She is constantly on the move, helping everywhere in the hospital. She is responsible for transporting patients from testing/procedures/unit to unit. She responded to codes and rapid responses and placed ultrasound-guided IVs. She rounds on units when she has no active call and supports departments as needed.
Her colleagues throughout the hospital have written many letters recognizing her for all her hard work. ER staff have recognized her many times for always pitching in, transporting, and going above and beyond to help support our ER. Many units have said, "She is always looking to help anyone."
Her teammates have also recognized her for always keeping everything clean and organized.
She is always a team player and is willing to come in if there is a call-off. She adjusts her schedule to help meet the needs of her colleagues. When her department has a new team member that requires hands-on training, she is very patient and willing to help. She is a fantastic preceptor, demonstrating kindness and patience.
For these reasons, Doris not only deserves the DAISY Award but is also an ideal representative of the values and standards upheld by UCLA. Her passion for nursing is evident, and her commitment to excellence is commendable.
Thank you for considering Doris for this prestigious award.
