While I’m sure it is difficult to juggle many patients, Hyesun tries her best to give him the personalized care he needs every time she comes into his room. She is very helpful, very patient, and very compassionate.
Hyesun has been my father's day nurse for a few days during his stay at JFK. She has been extremely attentive and compassionate, helping him as much as she can to ensure his comfort. While I’m sure it is difficult to juggle many patients, Hyesun tries her best to give him the personalized care he needs every time she comes into his room. She is very helpful, very patient, and very compassionate. I’m sure she has earned her “Angel Wings.”

When I first met Hyesun, I noticed her positive energy. She is very informative when it comes to my brother's condition and her bedside manner is amazing. Hyesun is a force to be reckoned with. I am so happy when she cares for my brother because I know he is in very capable hands. This hospital needs more nurses like Hyesun—job well done.
***
She is very thorough, compassionate, and goes out of her way. There is no specific story. It is her continuous behavior. She goes out of her way to help, and it makes me comfortable with her.
***
Hyesun did a great job in taking care of my mother today. She was very responsible and diligent, contacting the doctors on our behalf and making sure everything was accurate, including my cell phone number in the emergency contacts.
***
Hyesun went above and beyond during my entire stay. She educated me on everything that was done, how, and why. I had a terrible episode of nausea and vomiting, and she was with me the entire time. She was in constant communication with the surgeon in the room the entire time to figure out the course of treatment. She advocated for a special diet and then allowed me to eat. That may sound simple, but this is what was making me nauseous today. Today, I truly felt the extra care of a patient. I have been a practice manager for 30 years. You cannot teach the quality she possesses. I have observed her for a few days now with myself and my roommate, and others. Her knowledge is extreme. I would so easily recommend her for every award HMH has available.
***
I feel very lucky to have been cared for by Hyesun during my stay in the hospital. She made me feel secure and well cared for from the beginning. She was warm and attentive and kept me up to date on my condition and care. She is a great nurse!
***
Hyesun is extremely attentive, kind, and always has time to explain and educate. When I did not know what transition of care was, she thoroughly explained exactly what it was. She, along with all of the nurses I encountered, is a top-notch, caring human.
***
Firstly, I want to say all the nurses here are great and have been generally more responsible and attentive than other hospitals I’ve stayed at. Hyesun, in particular, stands out to me in terms of good communication and advocating for my care. She explained what medicines I was receiving as she administered them, and when I was having issues with the side effects of the pain meds, she made sure to have the doctor offer alternatives that would help without the strong side effects. She checked in with me so often that I rarely needed the call button.
