Her patience, empathy, love, and support for our baby and for us are over and beyond.
Ashley is the bedside nurse of my beautiful 7-month-old. She has been exceptionally empathetic with my family. She's really taking excellent care of my baby, always attentive to her care, she also looks out for us parents as well. Ashley will take her time to explain our baby's condition, she also encourages us parents. I must say that Ashley's care for my baby and family is one of the sources that keeps me going while watching my daughter. I'm always excited when I know she's on duty to take care of my baby. Overall, I think she's an exceptional nurse, and I think she deserves this award. She does this with so much passion and joy, and I see the way my baby's face lits up when Ashley is around. Ashley is simply the best and has been a blessing to my family, especially as we navigate the journey!

Ashley Keeping is the bedside nurse taking care of my 7-month-old daughter for most of the time she was at the Cardiac Critical Care Unit. Ashley demonstrates unusual care for my daughter. Her patience, empathy, love, and support for our baby and for us are over and beyond. Ashley paid attention to every detail; she is highly proactive on the next action needed and updates us on every progress report of our daughter, which was an anchor of strength for my wife and me as we navigated through our new reality. Ashley was never tired of our many questions and requests she took her time to explain every one of our questions, and for those she didn’t have answers, she escalated to the right team and followed up on feedback. When we got the news that our daughter would have to get the VAD implant surgery, we were very heartbroken. Ashley noticed this and took her time to further walk us through the process in a more comforting and simple process, which helped in a long way to validate our fears and anxiety. We feel so blessed to have a nurse who acts like a mother to our baby. I am sure my daughter’s heart silently blesses her for all she does for her and would always want her around. Thank you, Ashley!
