My mother was actively passing on during 5 days at MCH. The last 2 days, Brittaney was on 12 hour shifts, so we got to know her a bit. I was impressed with her dedication to nursing and caring genuinely for her patient. She was very open and communicative with me and my family, as well as with my mother, who was comatose. I especially liked that she could read my needs as well as my mother’s. I needed humor and joy as I watched my mother pass peacefully, and Brittaney brought huge smiles, hugs, and compassion to the experience. My mom’s needs were always the priority, but my care was a close second, and it meant a lot.
