I would like to nominate the entire AOD Team at St. Joseph's Main Nursing Administration for a DAISY Team Award. Being an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the hospital, I truly believe this hospital would not run as well as it does without their leadership and help. I believe it's time they received recognition.
The AOD team consistently demonstrates a commitment to the well-being of the nursing staff and the smooth functioning of the nursing units. They do a great job monitoring staffing levels, patient censuses, and resource needs to ensure that each unit operates effectively throughout the shift. The AODs also always actively engage with each nursing unit, showing true concern for the well-being of the nursing staff. They make it a priority to check in with the nursing units regularly during their rounds, not only to see how staffing is but also to ensure that everyone is coping well with their workload and help address any challenge the unit might be facing. This approach fosters a supportive work environment and is crucial to making team members feel valued and supported.
The AOD team is also quick to respond to any possible issues or concerns that arise. From staffing shortages to patient placement issues or complex patient care needs, they are always ready to provide guidance and act as resources to maintain only the highest standard of patient care. To top this all off, they are all very approachable as well!
I firmly believe that this team exemplifies the values of the DAISY Award through its dedication to prioritizing patient care and staff well-being. They not only embody the spirit of the DAISY Award, but also reflect the core values of BayCare in everything they do. It is a privilege to work with such an awesome team and am very grateful for all their collaboration with us.
