My girlfriend and I are the patient's parents. He was born here at CHI. He was a few weeks early, needed extra help eating, and had low blood sugar. So, he was brought to the NICU to be treated. We met Pam Mastel there, and just upon meeting her, we could tell that she was kind, knowledgeable, and caring. We knew our son was in good hands. Pam was so helpful to us by answering all of our questions. She was always explaining things in ways that normal people could understand. She is dedicated to her career, and it really sticks out. We would always be so excited when she was working because we knew that it was going to be a great day. Out of all the nurses we met here, she was the most professional and caring. I would like to thank her for everything she taught us. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
