Leyda Hernandez made my dad’s stay. She was so kind and patient! He can be a handful, and she handled him with grace. She made sure he was heard personally and health-wise. She was very attentive and brought water, meds, etc. before we even asked. We’ve had many experiences with the VA, and she was truly a breath of fresh air. Even with a floor full of patients, she made him feel like her only patient! Whenever she would leave, he would always say how nice she was and deserves a raise! You can tell that she truly loves her job and the Vets. Her love for her job shines through her smile. She made sure to thank him for his service and sacrifice. She took time to listen to his war stories and jokes. Dad is very hard of hearing, and she made sure he understood what was going on and explained his medications better than anyone we’ve ever had. Thank you Leyda for helping make this place as close to “home” as possible. We wish all patients could get the care of Leyda and we promise their lives would be changed for the better!
