Ann Marie Anastasi is one of the best nurses I have ever worked with. She goes above and beyond for every patient, ensuring they get what they need, and does teaching and support beyond what is expected. We have several very fragile patients who are discharged from the NICU. There are so many examples of her teaching and kindness where she goes above and beyond and will spend an hour teaching a family how to mix formula, tape an infant nasal cannula, and handle a G tube feed. One family of triplets has sustained many social challenges and circumstances. Tragically, the dad fell asleep with one of the triplets and suffocated them. Unbeknownst to anyone, Ann Marie sends this family a card every month and ensures the family is not in the same exam room where they were the last time the triplets were all together. The mother mentioned the card to me and said how this nurse had shown more kindness and compassion to her family than anyone. She is one of a kind. We are blessed to work with her.
