I came into the ER needing to be seen for my leg. Joseph was very professional and did an amazing job overall! However, the moment that I felt went above and beyond was when I had a bit of a reaction. He was right in my room, ready to help. I was scared because I have a history of bad allergic reactions and thought it was happening again. He felt very calm and then jumped into action just by seeing my face. It felt like I couldn’t get out all the words, but he was able to assess and pinpoint what was happening using my jumbled-up string of words. His swift actions made me feel safe during my panic. His main focus was to understand what was happening and control the situation. After everything had calmed down he explained what happened, and kept checking in on me to make sure I was okay. I asked if it was a common reaction, and he said No, I’ve never seen it before. I would have never guessed that with his confidence in handling the situation. It’s nurses like that who provide excellent care and are irreplaceable assets to the hospital! I would recommend and request Joseph for myself or my family’s care team, he was that memorable and amazing. Joseph also delivered the good snacks!
