Taylor could see how difficult it was for us and I could see and sense the compassion she had for us.
My husband was admitted to Avera with multiple myeloma and passed away in March 2024.  Taylor was training and had been on the job for only 6 weeks.  My husband, R, had cancer 1 ½ years and was no longer responding to treatment.  R was in excruciating pain, there was only so much medication that could be given to him.  Because of this, it was very hard for my family. Taylor could see how difficult it was for us and I could see and sense the compassion she had for us.  The decision was made to put R in comfort care, and Taylor shared hugs and tears with us.  Even though this was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, Taylor made me feel that I was not alone.  We were moved to a larger room so family could be with us.  Taylor and Jae made sure our belongings were moved and came with us to make sure we were settled numerous times. Taylor came to our room and expressed her sympathy.  Taylor, I think of you often and want you to know the impact you made on me and my family.  You are a blessing to this world, we were so blessed to have you as our nurse!

My dad, who was battling cancer, entered the hospital never to leave.  Taylor did everything in her power to make him comfortable.  Along with Jae they showed caring and compassion, not only for my dad, but the family as well.  Angels exist and she is one of them!
