The amount of professionalism, humanity, empathy, and care she dedicated to us as parents and to our family members who came to say goodbye to our daughter that day was unmeasurable.
If I could write a novel about how amazing of a nurse, person, and friend Lindsay is, I would. Lindsay’s compassion and dedication to her position as a NICU nurse go above and beyond the call of duty. The first time we met Lindsay was after our very sick daughter was admitted to PSL. Lindsay did the job of two nurses by herself that night and kept our daughter alive. That night, while doing an amazing job taking care of our daughter, she took the time to make sure we had everything we needed, too. For the next month, Lindsay dedicated everything she had every shift she worked to our daughter. She was her protector and advocate when we were at home resting after long days at the hospital. Lindsay brought us a comfort and safe place as parents who were struggling with having twins in the NICU. Lindsay was our nurse the day our daughter passed away. The amount of professionalism, humanity, empathy, and care she dedicated to us as parents and to our family members who came to say goodbye to our daughter that day was unmeasurable. She helped guide us through the hardest day of our life and did an amazing job keeping a professional face even when we knew that her heart was breaking over losing C, too. Throughout our time at the NICU, we always knew we were in good hands with Lindsay, and that’s all anyone can really ask for when going through what we did. Lindsay is a true DAISY Nurse.
