Megan took care of a young first-time mother as she was being scheduled for an induction. The patient was very nervous about an induction as she had a birth plan in place. Megan was very comforting and patient and reassuring to the patient as she began her induction process. Megan remained at her side from the moment she received the report to the moment we welcomed her sweet baby boy into this world that late afternoon. Megan went above and beyond to care for this patient and to try to honor the wishes that she had typed into her birth plan. With Megan’s assistance, she was able to achieve her goal of a vaginal delivery without an epidural, and she was also able to delay cord clamping and do initial skin-to-skin with her sweet baby. Megan did an outstanding job caring for this patient. The patient shared with me how grateful she was to have Megan and the rest of the team for her delivery. She stated, “I am so glad we chose Granville L&D. If we have more children in the future, I will definitely be back, and I hope Megan will be there. Thank you to all of my care team.”
