I am a colon cancer survivor, and every time I am admitted, there is something new that I learn from the 3C team. To nominate only one person is a little complicated because teamwork is incredibly valuable to me. Teamwork is valuable because, behind every person, there is someone else with different experiences and skills that build up to serve those who need their support and to alleviate the path we are going through.

With that said, there are several nurses who made a tremendous impact on my cancer journey that I would like to nominate for the DAISY Award, hence the team award. These nurses took interest in my medical history, always made sure I was okay, were instrumental in my recovery, and even made sure I was following the correct diet.
