Greg Opseth

I first heard of the DAISY Award when I was nominated and received it during my first year as a nurse. When I started in the CNO role, I knew this program was essential to recognize the selfless acts of compassion I witness each day. Now, I have the honor to recognize our outstanding nursing staff each year. It has been an absolute pleasure to read all of the nomination letters; I see every day what an extraordinary group of nurses we employ. But, this program offers an opportunity to publicly recognize the outstanding service provided to all our patients. Watching the emotion on each nurse's face when he/she hears their nomination story is heartwarming. The true passion of this profession is evident through each of these encounters.
