• INTERNAL/EXTERNAL WEBSITE: All VAs use SharePoint. You will need to get in touch with the Public Affairs Office to get connected with an IT Rep to make any changes to your website. A section can be created on your external website about DAISY (example: https://www.va.gov/altoona-health-care/programs/). Internally in SharePoint, a section about DAISY can be created along with the electronic nomination form, committee information (to house documents only accessed by the committee), and a section to recognize honorees.
  • MARKETING: All VAs have an Interior Designer that can help with displaying any DAISY marketing materials. Signage takes a long time for approval. If you want to get things moving, you can use magnetic holders (ordered by the Interior Designer through a VA vendor) and window clings. We ordered our window clings through Staples for cost savings.
  • NOMINATIONS: We recommend including paper nomination forms in the patient checkout package.
  • EDUCATING STAFF: Create an Educational 'Roadshow' - This will be specific to each facility, and the DAISY Coordinator will create it. It is not shared across all VAs. It is recommended the DAISY Coordinator emails all employee groups within a facility and participate in their meetings to introduce the program using the PP found in the Resource Center. The meetings will be held virtually through TEAMS or can be in person. We did it through the whole month of August to catch all employee meeting groups.
  • KICK-OFF EVENT: Use the Employee Forum - This is done specifically for each facility where all employees can attend virtually through SharePoint. This is used to announce the program and share how to nominate a nurse and other DAISY information.
